Our SISCHE FLEXIBLE MONOTRACK SYSTEM is simply the finest quality low-voltage monorail lighting system available. Unlike competitive tracks made from aluminum alloys, Sische track features solid copper conductors plated with four luxurious finishes: Polished Chrome, Matte Chrome, Polished Gold and Matte Gold.
Sische's trademark hand-bendable track design offers the specifier unlimited free-form expression. Create the perfect serpentine curve, wave or arc effortlessly. Tackle any gradation with one of several infinitely variable joint connectors. Add fixtures and powerfeed virtually anywhere along the track. The creative possibilities are positively endless.
Sische's technological sophistication stems from the extensive use of advanced construction materials. In each piece of Sische track, two pure copper conductors are separated by a space age insulating material borrowed from the aerospace and aviation industries. Originally, this special material was invented specifically for use in the polymer of wings on large cargo aircraft. When at rest, the wings of these heavy airplanes droop at the ends, but in flight the wings swoop upwards at the ends instead. In other words, this amazing elastic compound changes from a solid state to a semi-elastic state when pressure is applied. When pressure is released, the material returns to a solid state.
This same technology allows the two copper conductors to slide against each other when the track is flexed. When the track is no longer being flexed, it stays at exactly the desired curve. Sische can be easily shaped by hand and may even by bent back to its original straight configuration.
Choose from a variety of accent and spotlight fixtures, each constructed of the highest quality brass, double-plated for added luster and better durability. Glass shades feature SCAVO glass from Europe's finest craft factories.
Specification Guide:
A typical SISCHE FLEXIBLE MONOTRACK SYSTEM should include one or more of the following components:
- Transformer (12V) (300W)
- Powerfeed
- Track
- Fixture
- Connectors (Conductive/Non-Conductive)
- Suspension Rod
- Lamp
Power is supplied to the track by three different means: a, a suspended transformer is connected to a powerfeed consisting of two cylindrical rods with a powerfeed clip on the lower end which the track passes through; b, a remote transformer is connected to a powerfeed consisting of two cylindrical rods with a powerfeed clip on the lower end which the track passes through; c, a remote transformer is connected to a power end feed which clamps around the end of the track.
Sische track is field-cuttable, available in 39 inches and 78 inches sections and should be supported by a track suspension rod every 39 inches. Suspension rods are also field-cuttable, available up to 20.5 inches long for wall or ceiling mount as well as sloped ceilings.
Like all 12 Volt systems, the National Electrical Code limits the wattage load on Sische track to 300 Watts per circuit. For larger loads, additional 12V circuits can be combined on the same track run through the use of non-conductive track connectors. In other words, for each 12V circuit added to the system, an additional 300 Watts would become available. Note: An extra 300W transformer and powerfeed would be necessary for the addition of each 12V circuit.
SISCHE FLEXIBLE MONOTRACK SYSTEM is fully certified by ETL as safe for indoor use and should be installed by a qualified electrical contractor according to National Electrical Code guidelines.
